An honest police officer Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) gets a call from Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a fugitive gang leader who has been underground for 16 years whose ominous warning prompts the officer on a quest to prevent a Mumbai apocalypse. On his journey, he is assisted by Research and Analysis (Raw) officer Anjali Mathur (Radhika Apte); flashbacks depict Gaitonde’s beginnings and his rise to prominence as a crime lord in Mumbai. Since there was mixed reviews for season 2, the production scrapped the plan of making season 3.
The Family Man portrays the story of a middle-aged man Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) who works as a world class spy in National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India along with his colleague and best friend JK Talpade (Sharib Hashmi). The first season of this show depicts the unsettling personal life of Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) while simultaneously following an investigation of an imminent terrorist attack along with his subordinates. The plot of second season focuses on a Sri Lankan military group akin to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and their ambitions for a freedom struggle. The series is inspired by articles from real newspapers. After the huge success of both the seasons, the team had also started making season 3 which might launch in Amazon Prime either by the end of 2024 or by the start of 2025.
The lives of the tawaifs of Lahore’s red-light district of Heera Mandi are chronicled in the historical drama Heeramani: Diamond Bazaar, set against the backdrop of the 1940s Indian independence movement against British Authority. An elite house of courtesans is governed by devious Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala), but as rebellion grows in British ruled India, a new challenger poses a danger to her authority. The grandeur sets and picturization along with the great narration of Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes the series to list in Top 10 Indian web series to binge watch.
